Vipers Game Day! – Vipers Head to Trail For Crucial Matchup With Smoke Eaters

Vernon, BC:  The Vipers conclude a brief two game road trip tonight as they head to the West Kootenay’s to battle the Trail Smoke Eaters in a matchup that has playoff implications.

Last Game:  Owen Kim finished off a hat trick in style last night with the game winner early in overtime as the Vipers defeated the Centennials 5-4.  Kim finished the night with three goals and an assist.  Hank Cleaves had a goal and two assists, while Etienne Lessard had a pair of helpers.  Ethan David made 31 saves on 35 shots for his 20th win of the season.  The Vipers powerplay was 1 for 5 and their PK was clutch killing off all four Merritt man advantages.

Last Game: The Smoke Eaters won their 3rd straight game last night, 5-2 over the Prince George Spruce Kings.  That came on the heels of a successful road trip that saw them take wins over West Kelowna and Salmon Arm.   Chase Stefanek led the charge with 3 assists.  Adam Marshall, Ridge Dawson, Nathan Dominici, Max Potvin and Christian Kim had the goals.  Teagan Kendrick had 12 saves on 14 shots.  The Smoke Eaters were disciplined and didn’t surrender a powerplay against.  Their powerplay was 1 for 2.
