Last Game: The Vipers finished off a 4-game road trip with a 4-2 loss in Cranbrook last Saturday.  Vernon finished the road trip 2-2.  Lee Parks and Isaac Tremblay had goals while Roan Clarke stopped 30 of 33.  Neither team converted on the lone powerplay chance they had.

Tonight’s Game:  The Vipers return home for the first of just two home games in the month of February.  Vernon has enjoyed the comforts of home with 13 of their 18 wins coming at Kal Tire Place.  Lee Parks and Isaac Tremblay both roll into tonight’s game with goals in back to back games, while Hank Cleaves had a solid weekend as well with a goal and a pair of helpers.

West Kelowna Warriors

GM & Head Coach: Simon Ferguson

2022-23: GP 40 – 22-14-4-0, 3rd Interior Conference

Home: 13-4-0-0

Away: 9-10-4-0

Goals For: 143

Goals Against: 146

Powerplay: 40 for 169 – 23.7% (3rd in BCHL)

Penalty Kill: 115 of 157 – 73.2% (17th in BCHL)

Last Game: The Warriors struggled to put the puck in the net last night as they fell by a 7-1 score in Salmon Arm.  Jake Bernadet had the lone goal, while Cayden Hamming made 16 saves.  He was replaced by Angelo Zol who finished off the game.  The Warriors penalty kill which has had it’s share of difficulties killed off 2 of 4 Salmon Arm powerplays.

Today’s Game:  You could add the word “road” to the Warriors this year as they are tied for the most games played away from home.  This is game 6 of 7 straight away from Royal LePage Place.  So far on the trip they are 1-4 so far through 5 games.  The Tribe have had their share of injury woes and it’s pretty consistent with their lack of offensive production.  They have scored more than one goal in a game just once in their last 5 games.  West Kelowna will finish the season with 10 of their last 12 games at home.

Tonight’s game will be broadcast on 107.5 Beach Radio and HockeyTV, starting with the pregame show at 5:45 pm.
