Vipers Game Day! – Vipers Travel To Merritt

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers look to build off a strong outing on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Merritt to take on the Centennials.

The Vipers (24-19-4-3) come in after a gutsy 3-2 shootout win over the Cranbrook Bucks on Sunday afternoon.  Cam MacDonald had a goal in regulation and the shootout, Reagan Milburn also chipped in with a goal while Roan Clarke stopped 39 of 41 in the victory.  With the win the Vipers climbed within 4 points of Cranbrook and percentage points of 5th place.  It was the 14th win on home ice.  The Snakes are 6-4 in their last 10 games.

The Centennials (3-41-2-2) come in winless in their last 7 games.  Merritt is coming off a 4 game road swing, but played really well in their last two.  That included a 4-3 shootout loss in Trail at the end of a long 3 game in 3 night stretch.  Ben Ward returned from suspension and continues to help the Merritt offense.  He leads with way with 14 goals and 10 assists.

This is the fourth of five head to head meetings and the first of a home and home set between the two clubs.  The Vipers are currently 3-0 including a pair of 9-goal outings.

You can catch all the action starting at 6:45 on BCHL.TV or 107.5 Beach Radio.
