Vipers Game Day – Vipers Visit Island, Take on Grizzlies

Vernon, BC:  The Vipers had a great bounce back victory on Saturday night.  They look to carry that momentum forward on the road as they head to Vancouver Island for a date with a two Coastal teams starting with the Victoria Grizzlies.

Record:  22-14-1-0

Goals For:  129

Goals Against:  87

Power Play:  30 for 132 – 22.7%

Penalty Kill:  100 of 124 – 80.6%

Leading Scorer:  Owen Kim (11G, 26A)

Last Game:  The Vipers were victorious in their last outing last Saturday, defeating the Salmon Arm Silverbacks 5-2 in front of the largest crowd of the year.  Five different Vipers had goals (Struck, Dorey, Csabi, Stavrianeas and Facchinelli).  Ethan David made 33 saves on 35 shots.

Last Game:  The Grizzlies had a busy weekend with a 3 in 3.  After losing the first two, the Grizz bounced back with a 2-1 win over the Langley Rivermen on Sunday afternoon.  Oliver Genest scored with just 8 seconds left in regulation to secure the win.  Jacksenn Hungle also scored for Victoria.  Owen Bresson made 34 saves on 35 shots.
