Vipers host Coquitlam Express

Coquitlam (1-1-0-0)  @ Vernon (1-2-0-0) 7pm

Tonight is first of two meetings between the Vernon Vipers & Coquitlam Express. The Vipers split the season series last going going 1-1 vs Coquitlam.

Since the 2003-04 regular season Vernon is 6-0-0-0 at home vs. Coquitlam

Vernon’s last win at home vs Coquitlam was a 5-3 win on Saturday, January 17th 2015

Coquitlam’s last win in Vernon-The Express havnt won in Vernon since before the 2003-04 season. (Due to the stats only going as far back as the 2003-04 regular season)

Lets take a look at the Vernon Vipers:

The Vernon Vipers return home after going 1-1 on a two game road trip.  The Vipers won 5-2 in Trail Saturday before falling 3-2 in Penticton on Wednesday.  Tonight is the first of a two game home stand, where the Vipers will face two Mainland Division opponents in the Coquitlam Express & Chilliwack Chiefs.  Vernon will be looking for their second win of the season sit 4th in the Interior Division are 6-0 vs Coquitlam at home since the 2003-04 season. Vernon lost just six games at home last year went 21-6-1-1 at Kal Tire Place.

Liam Finlay (2-3-5) & Steven Jandric (2-2-4) share the team lead in goals with two each.  While Finlay & Odeen Tufto (1-4-5) share the team lead in points with five each.

Nicholas Rasovic played 64 games with the Coquitlam Express (2013-2015) before being signed by the Vipers last season.

Lets take a look at the Coquitlam Express:

The Coquitlam Express make their first and only visit of the regular season to Kal Tire Place. The Express started the regular season on the road. Tonight is the third game of a current four game road trip. The Express started the road trip with a 5-3 loss in Chilliwack, are coming off a 3-1 win in Surrey, will finish in Salmon Arm Saturday.  The Express havent won in Vernon since before the 2003-04 season.  Due to the stats only going back to 2003 I dont know the last victory in Vernon.  Coquitlam went winless during the pre-season going 0-5 are 1-1 into the 2015-16 regular season looking for back to back wins. The Express 4th in the Mainland Division will host the Vipers December 2nd in the final meeting of the season. Coquitlam finished 4th in the Mainland Division last year, has ten players back from last years squad who only won eight games away from home last season going 8-18-1-2.

Colton Kerfoot (2-0-2) leads the Express in goals with two while tied with four others for the team lead in points with two each.

The Vipers next action is tomorrow night 6pm vs the visiting Chilliwack Chiefs
