The Trail Smoke Eaters make their first of four regular season visits to Kal Tire Place this evening are coming off a 6-2 loss in Penticton Saturday night. Tonight is the second and final game of a two game road trip before the Smoke Eaters begin a five game home stand. Trail sits 5th in the Interior Division standings are tied in points with Salmon Arm are a single point back of Vernon and only two points back of 3rd place Merritt. The Smokies have just one win in their last four games have won just three of their seven games on the road this season. The Smoke Eaters have only five returning players from last year’s team that missed the BCHL Playoffs are only two wins away from last year’s total wins of ten. Trail went 0-4 in Vernon last year have won just 16 regular season games vs Vernon since the 2002-03 season. The Smoke Eaters have just five wins in Vernon since the 2003-04 regular season in 36 games. Trails last win in Vernon was a 5-4 win on January 9th 2013.
