Vipers Take On Capitals Tonight

The Vernon Vipers embark on their first leg of a three in three island road trip, and first of four away from Kal Tire Place, when they face off with the Cowichan Valley Capitals at the Island Savings Centre.

The Vipers come in off a very dominating game, defeating the Merritt Centennials 3-1. The scoreboard was a little deceiving as the Vipers were all over the Cents for most the game, with Cents leaning on goaltender Jacob Berger who was fantastic.

The Capitals have scuffled recently dropping their last three games. They have one goal losses bookended around a lopsided 9-0 defeat to the Powell River Kings. The Caps are currently enjoying home cooking as they are in the middle of an unprecedented 8 game homestand. So far the homestand has seen the Caps take just 2 of a possible 8 points.
