Vipers Game Day! – Vipers Face Silverbacks

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers look for their 6th win of the pod season when they take on the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.

The Vipers (5-3-1-1) come into the game following a 2-1 shootout loss to the West Kelowna Warriors last night.  Reagan Milburn had the only goal and James Porter Jr. was stellar stopping 38 of 39 in the SOL.  The Vipers have done a nice job in the Pod getting points in 3 of their last 4 games which included 2 wins.  The Vipers seem to have success against the Backs with a 4-0-1 record in 5 head to head meetings.

The Silverbacks (5-2-2-1) come in after a fantastic come from behind win over West Kelowna on Sunday night.  Simon Tassy was spectacular ringing up a hat trick including the game tying goal with just 20 seconds left to force overtime.  In the shootout, Owen Say was the difference making to get the Backs the extra point.  Salmon Arm has been extremely disciplined with just 81 total PIMs average 8 per game.

Its the 6th head to head meeting between these two teams!
