Vernon, BC: What a difference a few days made as the Vipers rebounded with a strong effort against the Penticton Vees. They clawed to within a goal before a pair of late empty netters sealed is as they fell 4-1.
The Vees jumped on the Vipers early thanks to two straight powerplays. Penticton scored on both as Jack Bar ripped home a cross seam shot just 90 seconds in. They'd add another a few minutes later as Devlin O'Brien deflected a slap pass home to make it 2-0. The Vipers responded after the media timeout and started generating opportunities. Yaniv Perets was strong in goal keeping it 2-0 after 1.
The Vipers got the game within 1 as Kjell Kjemhus was able to bat home a bouncing puck to make it 2-1 early in the 2nd. The Vipers nearly tied it up, but Griffen Barr was stopped on a breakaway.
In the third the Vipers threw everything at the goal, but Perets shut the door. The Vees would add two empty netters to make it 4-1.
The Vipers are back in action on Friday night when they welcome the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.
