After the Buzzer – Vipers Blank Cents to End 2022

Vernon, BC:  Ethan David made 22 saves for his second shutout and 5th of his career as the Vipers blanked the Merritt Centennials 4-0 on Friday night.

Ethan Sundar, Ayden Third and Reagan Milburn found the back of the net, with Lee Parks pitching in an empty netter late in the third period.

Isaac Tremblay tallied two assists for his second two-point game of the season.

It was the third shutout of the season for the Vipers who blanked Cranbrook and Langley.

It was the third time this season the Centennials had been shutout, with the previous two coming to Penticton.

Johnny Hicks was very good in the Merritt goal crease, specifically in the second period when he stopped 14 of 15 before the Ayden Third goal.  Hicks finished the game with 27 saves on 30 shots.

Ayden Third’s goal came in his 100th regular season game.

The Vipers are back in action Sunday January 1st when they host the Penticton Vees.
