After the Buzzer – Vipers Bounce Back With Big Win Over Coquitlam

Seattle, WA, USA:  The Vipers enjoyed the Showcase spotlight in Seattle as they put up a season high eight goals to take down the Coquitlam Express.

Anthony Cliche led the way offensively with 2 goals and 3 assists.

“I’m glad I was able to contribute in the win tonight,” says Cliche.  “We needed to bounce back after a bad game against West Kelowna and we did.”

Owen Kim, Luke Pakulak, Shea Busch, Adam Csabi, Isaac Tremblay and Jordin Palmer all found the back of the net.  Palmer also had two assists.

Lukas McCloskey had a pair of assists.  Colin Reay made 27 saves on 28 shots for his third win of the season.

The Vipers penalty kill was impressive killing off all 3 chances in the first period.  The powerplay was 1 for 4.

“It was a good win for us tonight and we had every player on board which led to team success,” says Assistant Coach of the Vipers Lukas Lomicky.  “Our special teams gave us an extra push and energy when we needed it.  We will get some rest and make sure we are ready for tomorrow.”

Nate Crema scored the lone goal for Coquitlam.  Adam Manji had 29 saves on 27 shots.

The Vipers finish their Showcase schedule tomorrow night at 7:50 against the unbeaten Surrey Eagles.
