After the Buzzer – Vipers Clinch a Playoff Spot With Victory in Trail

Trail, BC:  Hank Cleaves had two goals and an assist and Roan Clarke made 34 saves as the Vernon Vipers took down the Trail Smoke Eaters by a 3-1 score.

Cleaves finished off a great weekend with 2 goals and 3 assists.  It was Cleaves 6th multi point game of the season.  Cleaves also has points now in 3 straight games.

Reagan Milburn had a nice weekend as well with a pair of assists in both games.

Lee Parks extended his point streak to eight games with an assist.

Walker Erickson scored his 5th powerplay goal of the season and 2nd with the Vipers for the insurance marker late in the 3rd period.

Griffen Barr and Dylan Compton each pitched in with a helper.

Roan Clark came within 80 seconds of his second shut out of the season before the Smokies scored on the powerplay.  The Dartmouth commit was spectacular all night stopping 34 of 35 for his 12th win of the season.

The Vipers were 1 for 4 on the powerplay and killed off 3 of 4.

Vernon secured their spot in the post season following the victory.

Josh Schenk had the lone goal for Trail, his second against the Vipers this season.

Teagan Kendrick made 19 saves on 22 shots.

The Vipers finish off their four game road trip next weekend with a pair of games in Prince George.
