Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce the commitment of 2005 born forward Erik Pastro from the Okanagan Rockets U18 AAA Program.
"Erik is a very cerebral player with excellent offensive instincts," says Head Coach and GM of the Vipers Jason McKee. "Erik is a local player that has been affiliated with us the last two seasons and we're happy to have him join us full time for next season."
Pastro, from Vernon, is in his second season with the Okanagan Rockets program. Last season he was nearly a point a game player, this year he has 30 goals and 31 assists in 30 games.
"I'm grateful and excited for the opportunity to play for my hometown team," says Pastro. "It's a dream come true to be able to wear the jersey of the team I grew up cheering for and I look forward to contributing to the teams success moving forward."
Pastro is 6'2, 170 pounds.
He suited up for two games with the Vipers this season putting up an assist in his first game.
