After the Buzzer – Vipers Complete Come Back, Win Game 1 in OT

Salmon Arm, BC:  Isaac Tremblay scored a goal in the final minute, then again early in the overtime as the Vipers erased a 3-goal deficit to win Game 1 by a 4-3 score in front of a sellout crowd at the Shaw Centre on Friday night.

Tremblay, who had 4 assists coming into the second round, scored with just 45 seconds left in regulation and again just a few minutes into overtime.

Lee Parks kept his point streak going, now up to 7 games, thanks to a pair of assists, both coming on the tying and game winning goals from Tremblay.

Anthony Cliche tallied his first of the playoffs early in the 3rd period, shortly after the Silverbacks took a 3-0 lead.

Walker Erickson pitched in with his first of the playoffs, returning to the lineup after missing Game 6 of round 1.

Ethan David won his 5th straight start making 34 saves on 37 shots including a 10-bell save early in overtime.

Nathan Mackie led the way for Salmon Arm with a goal and two assists.  Ryan Gillespie also had a multi-point night with a goal and an assist.

Matthew Tovell made a number of big saves, specifically in the 3rd period.  He finished the night with 30 saves on 34 shots.

Game 2 goes Saturday at 7pm at the Shaw Centre.
