Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce that Luke Buss has committed to Quinnipiac.
"Luke has worked hard for this opportunity," says Head Coach and GM of the Vipers Jason McKee. "The desire and excitement he brings to the rink everyday runs throughout the team. Our staff looks forward to continuing to grow Luke's game as he readies himself for college hockey."
Buss enjoyed a stellar rookie campaign with the Vipers as he led the team in points with 16 goals and 20 assists. He also pitched in 3 assists in the postseason.
"Quinnipiac is a program that checks all the boxes," says Buss. "I'm grateful and excited for the opportunity to be a Bobcat!"
A few notable Vipers alumni who attended Quinnipiac include Connor and Kellen Jones, Luke Shiplo, Andrew Shortridge and Odeen Tufto.
Quinnipiac is located in Hamden, Connecticut and plays in the ECAC. They have made three consecutive appearances in teh NCAA Tournament (minus 2020 COVID). They were the runner-up in 2016 for the National Championship.
