Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce that defenceman Anson McMaster has committed to the University of Ottawa for next season.
"Anson has come in and been a steadying influence to our group," says Head Coach and GM of the Vipers Jason McKee. "He is relied upon for leadership and is a big part of our penalty killing unit. Anson is a world class person and I am super excited to see him get this opportunity."
The Siksika, AB product has 1 goal and 6 assists in 25 games with the Vipers this season.
"I'm very excited and thrilled to be joining the U of Ottawa," says McMaster. "I've heard nothing but great things about the organization and the city. I'm looking forward to it!"
The Ottawa Gee-Gees play in the U Sports Association. They are located in Ottawa and play out of the Minto Sports Complex.
