Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce the commitment of 2006 born forward Liam Payne from the Burnaby Winter Club U18 Prep Program.
"Liam is a player we have watched closely for a couple of years that has steadily improved year to year," says Head Coach and GM of the Vipers Jason McKee. "He is a flexible player that can play multiple positions. Liam comes from a great program at BWC where he is well coached and will be prepared for the jump to junior next season."
Payne, from North Vancouver, finished his season with BWC. He registered 18 goals and 15 assists for 33 points in 33 games. He also added 4 goals in 3 games in the playoffs.
"I've only heard great things about the organization," says Payne. "I'm very excited to come into the BCHL as a Vernon Viper."
Payne is 5,9 175 pounds and shoots right.
