Penticton Takes Game One 6-3

The Vernon Vipers came out on the wrong end of a 6-3 score despite a very good overall effort. Liam Finlay had a pair, while Odeen Tufto chimed in with the other. Vees goals came from Scott Conway (2), Nick Jones, Tyson Jost, Owen Sillinger and Taylor Ward. Andrew Shortridge stopped 41 of 47 in the loss, while Anthony Brodeur finished with 15 saves on 18 shots. The Viper powerplay was perfect going 2 for 2, while the Vees went 2 for 5 when up a man.

Vipers assistant coach Kevin Kraus talks about the importance of the first goal and how the game slipped away.

The Vipers will head back to the SOEC on Sunday for a 6pm start in game 2 of the BCHL Interior Division Semi-Final. You can hear all the action on 107.5 KissFM
