Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce the commitment of Dane Westen (03) from Salisbury School for the 2022-23 season.
“Dane is a big physical defenceman that takes pride in defending his zone,” says Head Coach and GM of the Vipers Jason McKee. “He is very difficult to beat one on one and does a terrific job of ending cycles in the corner. He has shown to be a leader on his team and we look forward to having him join us next season.”
The Castle Rock, Colorado, USA product is at Salisbury School where he’s an assistant captain. Earlier this season he had 11 points in 21 games with the Buffalo Regals 18U AAA team.
“I am beyond excited an honoured to get to play for such a great organization,” says Westen.
Dane is listed at 6’3, 210 lbs and shoots right.
