Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce the acquisition of 2006-born defenceman Garin Ludwig.
“Garin has strong offensive instincts and manages the puck extremely well,” said GM and Head Coach Matt Cooke. “He makes a good first pass and uses his skating and mobility to get himself out of trouble. We’re excited to see how he fits in with our group.”
Ludwig, a native of Eagle River, Alaska, spent last season with the Nanaimo Clippers, recording 31 points in 51 games. He also appeared in 14 BCHL games, where he posted four points.
The Clippers later moved Ludwig to Sherwood Park, before the Vipers acquired him from the Crusaders in exchange for a Player Development Fee (PDF).
