Vipers Game Day – Vipers Conclude Season Series in Merritt

Vernon, BC:  It’s been a long time since the Vipers have played the Merritt Centennials, mid November to be exact.  They finish the 5-game season series tonight at the NVMA to kick off a huge road weekend.

Power Play:  36 for 151 – 23.8%

Penalty Kill:  123 of 156 – 78.8%

Leading Scorer:  Owen Kim (12G, 28A)

Last Game:  The Vipers surrendered three 3rd period goals last Saturday night against West Kelowna in a 4-2 loss to the Tribe.  Isaac Tremblay kept his hot streak going with his 3rd goal in 2 games and Adam Csabi scored his team leading 7th powerplay goal in the effort.

Record:  19-23-3-1

Goals Against:  171

Power Play:  31 for 153 – 20.26

Penalty Kill:  132 of 164 – 80.5%

Leading Scorer:  Michael Felsing (15G, 36A)

Last Game:  The Centennials are playing some of their best hockey of the season and it couldn’t be coming at a better time.  Merritt has won 5 out of their last 6 games with 2 wins coming over Trail and Salmon Arm.  Most recently they defeated Prince George thanks to a last minute regulation goal from newcomer Luke Pfoh.  Ray Hamlin and Michael Felsing also scored.  Karlis Mezsargs had 32 saves on 34 shots for the win.
