Vipers Game Day – Vipers Look to Finish Home Stand, Take On West K

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers found the net seven times on Friday night.  They hope to keep that offense rolling as they face off against the West Kelowna Warriors for the fifth and final time this regular season.

Last Game:  The Vipers took down Prince George 7-5 last night to get back in the win column.  Isaac Tremblay and Luke Pakulak each had a pair of goals.  Hank Cleaves tallied a goal and two assists.  Carson McGinley had two assists.  The back and forth affair was certainly entertaining for the 3056 fans in attendance.

West Kelowna Warriors

Record:  27-10-9-0

Goals For:  180

Goals Against:  142

Power Play:  33 for 144 – 22.9%

Penalty Kill:  129 of 170 – 75.9%

Leading Scorer:  Felix Caron (28G, 31A)

Last Game:  The Warriors dropped their second straight overtime decision, this time at home by a 6-5 score to the Trail Smoke Eaters.  West K saw a 5-3 lead erased by Trail in the 3rd period before Ridge Dawson won it in OT.  Felix Caron built on his team leading point total with a goal and 2 assists.  Callum Hughes finished with a goal and a helper.  10 other Warriors had at least a point.  Rorke Applebee finished with 34 saves on 40 shots.  The West K powerplay was 2 for 4, and their PK killed off 4 of 6.
