Vipers Game Day – Vipers Kick Off 5-Game Home Stand Against PG

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers look to put an end to a 5-game winless streak as they welcome the Prince George Spruce Kings.

The Vipers (4-7-3-2) come in following a 5-2 loss in Salmon Arm on Wednesday.  Tyler Chan scored his first BCHL goal and Matt Culling pitched in as well.  The Vipers were the first team this season to outshoot the Backs and generated a number of good chances.  Luke Buss has been on fire lately with points in 3 of his last games and in that span has 2 goals and 3 assists.  He has 4 multi point games this year.

The Spruce Kings (9-6-0-0) have been off for nearly two weeks.  Their last outing was November 13 when they dropped a 3-1 decision to the Coquitlam Express.  After a busy start to the season when they played 9 games in 22 days, the Spruce Kings have played 6 games in 10 days before the break.  The Spruce Kings will be without Austin Fraser for 3 games due to a suspension.  Prince George captain Kolton Cousins played in his 150th regular season game against the Express.

This is the 3rd of 7 head to head meetings.  The Vipers are 1-0-1 so far.
