Vipers Game Day – Vipers Kick Off Post All-Star Break With 3 Game Road Swing Starting in SA

Vernon, BC:  After plenty of home cooking heading into the All-Star break, the Vernon Vipers hit the road for three straight games this week beginning Wednesday night in Salmon Arm.

Record:  20-12-1-0

Power Play:  28 for 118 – 23.7%

Penalty Kill:  85 of 106 – 80.2%

Leading Scorer:  Owen Kim (11G, 25A)

Last Game:  Owen Kim scored twice and Colin Reay made 35 saves as the Vipers downed the Coquitlam Express 3-2 on the 13th of January.  Hank Cleaves pitched in with 1 goal and an assist.  The Vipers powerplay went 1 for 4 and the PK killed off 2 of 3.

Last Game:  It was a prosperous weekend for Salmon Arm heading into the break after they took down the Cowichan Valley Capitals, 11-2 and the Merritt Centennials 7-1.  JJ Monteiro, Casy Laylin and Jonah Aegerter all had 3 point nights.  Eli Pulver made 27 saves on 28 shots.  The Backs powerplay was strong on the Saturday against the Cents going 2 for 3.
