Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce the commitment of 2006 born forward Simon Binkley for next season.
“Simon had an injury to start the year, but since he’s been back has made an immediate impact with his team,” says Head Coach and GM of the Vipers Jason McKee. “Simon is a 200 foot centre with great size and speed. He plays a very determined game for 60 minutes every night.”
Binkley, from Fairbanks, Alaska had a very impressive 16U campaign with the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 16U Program where he had 32 points. He’s managed to get into two games with 18U Program, and has 4 assists.
“I’m very excited to get out and see the city of Vernon,” says Binkley. “I’ve heard great things about the organization and the city.”
Binkley is 6’0, 180 pounds and shoots left.
