Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers will hit the road for the first of a seven game trip as they take on the Merritt Centennials for the second time in 13 days.
The Vipers (10-14-3-3) come into the game following a thrilling come from behind 4-3 overtime win over the BCHL leading Salmon Arm Silverbacks. Cam MacDonald had a four point night including the overtime winner. Zack Tonelli scored in the third to tie it. Roan Clarke made a number of big saves to give his team a shot to win it. Despite surrendering two powerplay goals against, they did kill off two 5-minute major penalties against the best powerplay in the league. The Vipers powerplay also struck twice.
The Centennials (2-27-1-0) come in after a 6-3 loss to the Silverbacks on Saturday. The Cents have lost 6 straight games and putting the puck in the net has been a concern. The have 8 goals scored in those games.
The Vipers put up a 9-1 win over the Centennials on January 14th at Kal Tire Place.
