Vipers Game Day – Vipers Look to Home Ice To Finish Off Series

Vernon, BC:  The Vipers were able to do something not many did during the regular season and that is win a game at Cominco Arena in game 3.  Ultimately that was a big victory after a split in Trail as the Vipers look to finish the series tonight at Kal Tire Place.

Record:  3-1

Goals For:  14

Goals Against:  8

Power Play:  2 for 11 – 18.2%

Penalty Kill:  12 of 16 – 75.0%

Leading Scorer:  Owen Kim (2G, 2A) Erik Pastro (4)

Last Game:  The Vipers third period flurries continued, also this time, the comeback came a bit too late as they dropped a 3-2 decision in Game 4.  Luke Bibby had a pair of goals.  Connor Elliott pitched in with a pair of helpers.  Ethan David had 38 saves on 41 shots including a HUGE diving save to keep the deficit at 1 in the dying seconds.

Last Game:  Jason Stefanek scored a pair of goals and Ryan Parker was great making 26 saves on 28 shots for his first playoff win in his first playoff game to help Trail stave off elimination.  Trail’s powerplay was the difference in this one going 2 for 3.  Their PK went 2 for 2.
