Vipers Game Day – Vipers Roadie Continues in Provincial Capital

Victoria, BC:  The Vernon Vipers put their three game win streak on the line tonight as they visit the Victoria Grizzlies for the first and only time.

The Vipers (3-2-0-0) come into the game following an extremely successful Showcase in Chilliwack last weekend as they downed the Chiefs and Bulldogs respectively.  The group strung together 120 minutes of really good hockey outscoring the opposition 7-1.  Ethan David stopped 25 shots for his first BCHL shutout in his first BCHL start.  Cam MacDonald had a great showcase racking up 5 points in 2 games good to earn him the BCHL First star of the week.  Reagan Milburn has a 3 game point streak going as well.

The Grizzlies (5-2-0-0) started the season red hot with 5 straight wins, but struggled at the showcase losing both of their games.  The Grizzlies have a dynamic duo at the top of the BCHL scoring chart as Matthew Wood and Connor Eddy each have 14 points in 7 games.  In goal, the Grizzlies have had consistent efforts from both Carter Woodside and Kyle Kelsey who have nearly identical numbers.

The last time the Vipers were in the Q Centre it was nearly 2 years ago to the day, as the Vipers defeated the Grizzlies 5-2.

You can catch all the action tonight starting at 6:45 with the pregame show and puck drop at 7pm on BCHL.TV and 107.5 Beach Radio.
