Vipers Game Day – Vipers Take on Spruce Kings

Prince George, BC:  The Vernon Vipers look for their first win of the season tonight when they visit the Prince George Spruce Kings at the Kopar Memorial Arena.

The Vipers (0-2-0-0) come in following a pair of losses to the Salmon Arm Silverbacks over the weekend.  The Vipers fell 3-0 and 4-1 and will look for a more consistent effort.  Julian Facchinelli scored his first BCHL goal on Saturday.  The Vipers made a trade earlier in the week acquiring 18-year old Bowden Singleton from the Okotoks Oilers.  He will make his debut tonight wearing number 19.

The Spruce Kings (2-0-0-0) are home after a pair of wins in the Coastal Conference.  They dispatched the Coquitlam Express 3-0 on Friday before squeaking out a 3-2 win over Langley the next night.  John Herrington had three goals over the weekend while newcomer Jack Stockfish pitched in with two goals and an assist.  Jordan Fairlie was very good in both starts stopping 50 of 52 shots combined.  He was named the 3rd star of the week.
