Vipers Make Two Trades

Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers would like to announce the acquisition of Coldstream product Connor Elliott in a pair of trades.
The first trade the Vipers sent Luke Lavery and future considerations to the Cowichan Valley Capitals in exchange for the 6’3 200-pound defenseman.

“When the opportunity came up to add Connor it was something that was very intriguing to us especially being a local Vernon kid,” says Head Coach and GM of the Vipers Jason McKee. “As with anything, when you add a quality player you usually must give one up which we did in Luke. We believe Connor will be able to come in and help stabilize our back end.”

Elliott has 1 goal and 5 assists in 12 games played this season.

In the second trade the Vipers traded 20-year-old forward Ethan Rowland to the Okotoks Oilers of the AJHL in exchange for future considerations.

“Ethan wanted to play his last year of junior at home and play on the same team as his younger brother,” says Jason McKee. “Ethan has put a lot of time in at the junior level and I understand the unique circumstances for the brothers to have a chance to play together. I believe in the human element with these young men, and it was the right thing to do to make this happen. Ethan is a great kid, and we wish him all the best.”

The Vipers would like to welcome Connor and his family to the organization and wish Luke and Ethan all the best with their new teams.
