Vipers Sign Noah Dorey, Trade Luke Buss to Nanaimo for Luke Bibby

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce the signing of 20 year old defenceman Noah Dorey.

“Noah is a defenceman that will be able to come in and play in all situations for us,” says Head Coach and GM of the Vipers Jason McKee.  “He has size and moves extremely well.  Noah is expected to make an immediate impact on our lineup in a lot of different ways.”
The Surrey product spent the last few seasons with the Kelowna Rockets in the WHL.  He had 8 points in 33 games last year.  His best offensive output was 21 points in 60 games in 2021-2022.  Dorey is a highly touted player who attended the Edmonton Oilers development camp and participated in the Young Stars Tournament in Penticton in 2022.
In a subsequent move, the Vipers have traded 20 year old forward Luke Buss to the Nanaimo Clippers in exchange for 19 year old forward Luke Bibby.
“It’s tough to trade a kid as good a person as Luke Buss is,” says Head Coach and GM of the Vipers Jason McKee.  “We had to make room at the 20 year old spots on our roster and we feel we have acquired a solid younger player in return that will compliment our forward group.”
Luke Bibby, from Brantford, Ontario has three goals and one assist this season with the Clippers.
Please join us in welcoming Noah Dorey and Luke Bibby to the Vipers organization and wishing Luke Buss all the best with Nanaimo.
