Last Game: The Vipers nearly erased a 3-goal deficit for the second straight game, ultimately the comeback would fall short in a 5-2 loss in Game 2. Seiya Tanaka-Campbell and Jonathan Horn had the Viper goals. Ethan David made 27 saves in the effort.
Tonight: The Vipers will look to find a spark early in a hockey game for the first time in the series. It’s been a less than ideal beginning as it’s taken the Vipers a good 40 minutes to find their foothold in games. When they’ve found it, they’ve looked extremely sharp. Vernon has 5 of their 6 goals in the series scored in the 3rd period. Other than the OT winner in Game 1, the Vipers have yet to lead at any point. The Vipers are 0 for 2 on the powerplay through 2 games and their PK is 3 of 5.

Playoffs Top Scorer: Nathan Mackie (5-5-10)
Last Game: Things got a little nerve racking for the Backs in Game 2, but they held on for a 5-2 win to even up the best of seven series at 1 apiece. Nathan Mackie had the insurance marker and empty net goal in the 3rd period. Isaac Lambert had a goal and an assist in his return to the lineup, Hayden Stavroff also had a multi point effort after missing Game 1. Matthew Tovell made 21 saves on 23 shots.
Tonight’s Game: Salmon Arm is looking to steal home ice advantage back from the Vipers in Game 3. They have played four strong periods, but have had their issues in the final frame. Nathan Mackie has 5 points in two games and was named second star of the week. The Backs powerplay has continued to execute at a high level through 6 games operating at 40%.
