After the Buzzer – Vipers Put Up 7, in Back and Forth Win Over PG

Vernon, BC:  Isaac Tremblay and Luke Pakulak each had a pair of goals and Hank Cleaves registered 1 goal and 2 assists as the Vernon Vipers downed the Prince George Spruce Kings by a 7-5 score on Friday night in front of 3056 people.

Tremblay, the games first star, had his team leading 20th and 21st goals of the season.  The latter came in the third period and ultimately turned into the game winner.

Luke Pakulak had his offensive outburst in the first period, once on the powerplay and again 6 minutes later even strength.

Carson McGinley pitched in with a pair of helpers, including hunting a puck that directly led to the Tremblay game winner in the 3rd period.

Erik Pastro and Connor Elliott had the other Viper goals.

Colin Reay made 17 saves on 22 shots.

The Vipers powerplay was 1 for 3 and they didn’t surrender any power plays against.

Kilian McGregor-Bennett was the driving force for the PG offense.  He nabbed two goals on the night to lead the way.  Ryan Sanborn had 23 saves on 29 shots in the loss.

The Vipers finish the brief homestand Saturday night when they welcome West Kelowna for a pm puck drop.
