After the Buzzer – Vipers Take Game 3 in a Back And Forth Affair

Trail, BC:  Shea Busch scored two goals and Adam Csabi had the game winner in the 3rd period as the Vipers won game 3 by a 5-3 score at Cominco Arena.

“That was a game full of emotion,” says coach of the Vipers Colton Sparrow.  “It was full of ups and downs as we came from behind twice.  “This is a character win from our group.  Everyone had a hand in that one.”

Shea Busch, the games first star, was set up by Bronson Ross and Erik Pastro for both of his goal.  His first of the night cut a deficit to 2-1, while his second, a period later tied the game up at 2.

The line of Busch, Ross and Pastro combined for 6 points.

Anthony Cliche gave the Vipers their first lead of the night after shorthanded goal, the teams second shorty of the playoffs.

Adam Csabi finished off a beautiful rush play deflecting home a perfectly place slap pass from Carson McGinley.  That goal came on the heels of tying goal from the Smoke Eaters.

Isaac Tremblay hit the empty net late to secure the win.

“It was huge for us to get this win in their barn,” says Vipers captain Connor Elliott.  “We battled hard, stuck with our game plan through the ups and downs.  It was a great team win.”

Ethan David stopped 34 of 37 for the win.

Vernon’s powerplay was 0 for 3, while their PK killed off 3 of 5.

On the Trail side, Adam Parsons scored two goals, while Mathieu Cobetto-Roy had a single.

Teagan Kendrick made 29 saves on 33 shots.

Game 4 of the series will be at 7pm on Wednesday night.
