Vipers Game Day – Vipers Hit The Road For Game 3 in Trail

Vernon, BC:  The Vipers look to continue their strong play and take a stranglehold on the series tonight as they take on the Trail Smoke Eaters in Game 3 of the best of seven series at the Cominco Arena.

Last Game:  For the second straight night, the Vipers and Smoke Eaters went to the 3rd period tied and for the second straight night the Vipers found the go ahead goal to get the victory.  This time however, they found that goal early and the offense exploded four times to get the 5-2 win.  Carson McGinley broke the deadlock early in the 3rd.  Luke Pakulak increased the lead shortly after.  Vernon then scored twice in 40 seconds on the powerplay to push the game out of reach.  Ethan David had 28 saves on 30 shots for the win.  The Vipers powerplay struck twice on six opportunities, while for the second straight game, the Vipers shut down the Trail powerplay.

Last Game:  Trail captain Ethan Warrener opened the scoring in the first period and Judah Makway registered a goal in the 3rd book ending 5 Viper goals in the loss.  Christian Kim tallied two assists.  Teagan Kendrick made 34 saves on 39 shots.
