Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce the commitment of forward Kurt Gurkan (04) from Phillips Exeter Academy.
"Kurt can play both centre and the wing positions so he will bring flexibility to the team next season," says Head Coach and GM of the Vipers Jason McKee. "Kurt plays the game hard with a lot of energy and passion."
The Darien, Connecticut product is currently at Phillips Exeter Academy where he is the team captain. He currently has 14 goals and 16 assists in 21 games.
"I'm excited to play in Vernon next season," says Gurkan. "I look forward to meeting everyone and representing a great organization."
Kurt is committed to playing for Yale University. He is listed at 5'10 175 lbs and is a left handed shot.
