Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce the commitment of 2007-born forward Mason Kim for the 2026-27 BCHL season.
The Toronto, Ontario native joins the Vipers after two outstanding seasons with the Mississauga Chargers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL), where he established himself as one of the league’s top offensive threats.
During the 2024-25 season, Kim recorded 29 goals and 36 assists for 65 points in 55 games. He followed that performance with an even more productive 2025-26 campaign, finishing with 26 goals and 39 assists for 65 points in just 44 games.
Standing 5-foot-10 and weighing 175 pounds, Kim brings an exciting blend of speed, skill, and offensive creativity to the Vipers lineup.
“We’re thrilled to add Mason to our group,” said Head Coach and General Manager Matt Cooke. “He’s a highly skilled, offensively dynamic player who has consistently produced at a high level. Mason plays a quick-strike game that puts defenders on their heels and creates scoring opportunities every time he’s on the ice. What really stands out, though, is his compete level. He works hard in all three zones and has the drive to continue developing into a complete player. We’re excited to see what he’ll bring to our team.”
Kim is also excited for the opportunity:
