Vipers Game Day! – Vipers Tangle With Wild

Wenatchee, WA, USA:  The Vipers look to keep their strong play on the road going when they take on the Wenatchee Wild at the Town Toyota Center.

The Vipers (18-15-4-3) come into the game following a 2-0 shutout win over Wenatchee.  JoJo Tanaka-Campbell and Zack Tonelli had goals while Roan Clarke stopped all 27 shots that came his way for his first BCHL shutout.  The Vipers have three shutouts on the season 2 over Alberni Valley, then one the other night.  The Vipers are 8-1-1 in their last 10 games and are 11-1-1 in their last 13.  In games solved in regulation time, JoJo has three consecutive game winning goals.

The Wild (14-18-4-1) come in following the 2-0 loss in Vernon on Tuesday to wrap up their 5-game road trip.  The Wenatchee finished 2-3 on the trek.  They haven’t played at home since a 3-2 win over Cranbrook on Feb. 2.  The Wild are 7-8-1-1 on home ice and 3-7 in their last 10 games.

Home ice has played a big factor head to head as the Wild are 5-2-2 at home and the Vipers are 7-4-1 at Kal Tire Place.

The last time the Vipers were in Wenatchee it was nearly two years to the day on March 6 in Game 5 of the playoffs.  That night the Vipers eliminated the Wild from post season play with an 8-3 win.
