Wenatchee, WA, USA: The Vipers look to keep their strong play on the road going when they take on the Wenatchee Wild at the Town Toyota Center.
The Vipers (18-15-4-3) come into the game following a 2-0 shutout win over Wenatchee. JoJo Tanaka-Campbell and Zack Tonelli had goals while Roan Clarke stopped all 27 shots that came his way for his first BCHL shutout. The Vipers have three shutouts on the season 2 over Alberni Valley, then one the other night. The Vipers are 8-1-1 in their last 10 games and are 11-1-1 in their last 13. In games solved in regulation time, JoJo has three consecutive game winning goals.
The Wild (14-18-4-1) come in following the 2-0 loss in Vernon on Tuesday to wrap up their 5-game road trip. The Wenatchee finished 2-3 on the trek. They haven’t played at home since a 3-2 win over Cranbrook on Feb. 2. The Wild are 7-8-1-1 on home ice and 3-7 in their last 10 games.
Home ice has played a big factor head to head as the Wild are 5-2-2 at home and the Vipers are 7-4-1 at Kal Tire Place.
The last time the Vipers were in Wenatchee it was nearly two years to the day on March 6 in Game 5 of the playoffs. That night the Vipers eliminated the Wild from post season play with an 8-3 win.
